Professional 3 piece Irish Tunable Flute with Hard Case

Beautiful flute! Sounds very nice but I’m not an expert. My son wants to learn. I’m excited to hear him play.

Very poor. The sections don't seat well.I have played a number of wood flutes successfully but find this very difficult to make speak at all. I believe that this is because of the mouth hole being poorly shaped.I am looking for someone better versed in this I am to see if I can improve the situation by filing it out to be more regular in shape.YoursPeter Junger [****]

I am a flute player. I have played flute in high school, college, and beyond. I have played various international flutes and variations of flutes, such as quenas and fifes. This is not a playable instrument. I am not able to get a good tone out of it. The holes for the fingers are too far apart. I have very large hands. I wear men's large gloves, and sometimes they are to small for my very long fingers. Yet I find that the holes in this flute are so far apart, it strains my hands to cover them. When I do play a scale (with an airy sound, because the head joint isn't designed as an actual instrument), the flute doesn't play in tune with its own self. Another way I can tell this isn't an instrument is it doesn't come with a fingering chart. All flute-like real instruments have fingering charts because the higher notes tend to have more complex fingerings. I think people buy this flute and are not able to play it and they think it's because of their own lack of skill. Actually it's not an instrument. Don't buy this flute. You can look on ebay and see that most people who buy this flute, resell it on ebay to the next unwitting customer... who is also unable to play it (because it isn't a playable instrument) and they sell it too. It's sort of a flute fraud pyramid scheme. You can buy an actual flute for less than $100 on Amazon. Buy a real flute. Also on Amazon you can get a real return policy where 100% of the money you spent on the flute is refunded to you if there's anything wrong with the flute, and you don't have to pay for the return shipping. This website claims to not know it's not a real instrument, and offers to refund half, and charges shipping if you return it. It's a racket. They know it's not a real instrument and yet they are continuing to sell it on this website. Only buy this thing if your intention is to use it as a stage prop or otherwise use it in a way that does not involve playing it, since it doesn't play.

Played many flutes. Bought this one to have something the grandkids could focus on rather than my expensive instruments. I can’t even get a descent tune out of it. Can’t return it it so I don’t recommend buying it in the first place
